STARTING JULY 24th 2026!

For the last 5 out of 6 years I’ve released a free crochet along. All have been large sampler blankets that contain dozens of different crochet stitches. So why would Froggity Frog’s 2026 crochet along be any different?

Actually the 2026 crochet along will contain the fewest number of stitches yet, but it was an idea that I just had to create and I think you’re still going to love it. All of the stitches I’ve chosen fit the theme and many have rarely, if ever been used before. I say that because I had to develop a few myself as I couldn’t find what I was looking for online

My 2026 crochet along is called A Study Of Corners – 20 individual pieces each made with a different crochet stitch. These are then joined together as we go (no sewing required – I HATE sewing with a passion, it’s bad enough having to weave ends in!). Then to complete our blanket we’re finishing it off with a beautiful border that fits the theme perfectly.

I’ve chosen to use Caron Simply Soft in these beautiful spring colours and I’ll be adding an off white colour to the mix as well. Simply Soft is a worsted (aran) weight yarn that comes in a good range of colours. So if you don’t like my colour choices it will be easy to find a colour combo that suits you in this range.

Unusually for me I’m just sticking to 5 colours for this project as I think the spring palette look so pretty together and it doesn’t need any other shades muddying the mix.

As always I’ll be running this crochet along for free over many weeks. At the moment I’m thinking it’s going to be around 45 weeks long so that each week is a bite sized, manageable piece so you can keep up around your busy lives.
