The Pattern

You will need a 3.5mm hook for this piece

With Colour N make a chain of 16

Row 1. In the 4th chain from your hook make a dc (the turning chain counts as your first dc) dc in each stitch across – 14 stitches

Row 2. Turn, chain 1, make the alternate turning chain in the 1st stitch. Now we will make a Peacock stitch *Dc in the next stitch then chain 5. Skip 4 stitches then slip stitch into the next stitch.

Making your chain

Turn your work and over the chain make (sc, 2hdc, dc, 2hdc, sc) slip stitch into the dc you made the chain from.

Working into your chain

Turn your work again. Dc in each of the skipped stitches, working behind the Peacock stitch.
