It’s week 34 of the Country Garden crochet along. This week we’re making the first 2 rounds of our outer border which will represent a beautiful clear blue sky. This is a nice easy week, even if it does take some time to work around the whole blanket.

This pattern is written in US terms, but the UK translation are:
- ch (Chain)
- dc (double crochet) = treble crochet

The Pattern

Round 1. Join into any stitch with Colour O and make a dc starting chain in the same stitch. Make a dc in every stitch around.
When you reach the 2nd corner stitch, make 2dc.
When you get back round to the beginning, slst into the starting chain.
You should have 158 dc on the long sides and 114 dc on the short sides making 544 dc in total
Round 2. In the same stitch that you slst into, make a dc chain. Make a dc in each stitch around, making 2dc in the 2nd corner stitch.
When you get back round to the beginning, slst into the starting chain
That’s it for this week, you can now cut off and weave in your ends
