Week 8 Of The Country Garden Crochet Along

It’s week 8 of the Country Garden crochet along. This week we’re making our next panel made with the Puff Flower stitch

This pattern is written in US terms, but the UK translation are:

  • YO (Yarn over)
  • ch (Chain)
  • dc (Double crochet) = treble crochet
  • puff2tog (puff two together)

The Pattern

Row 1. With Colour H, join into the 2nd corner stitch in the bottom right hand corner by making a standing dc. This will be on the right hand side of your Wiggle Stitch panel.

Ch2, Now we need to make a puff2tog *in the same stitch as your last stitch make a puff 

Make a puff2tog

(YO, insert your hook into the stitch, YO and pull up a loop. Repeat this 3 times until you have 7 loops on your hook) 

don’t pull through any loops though as we need to make another puff first. Skip the next 3 stitches and make another puff. 

YO and pull through all 13 loops on your hook and ch1. Your puff2tog is now complete. Now chain 4*

Repeat between *and* after the last puff, ch2 then dc in last stitch – 13 puff2tog

You will have 13 puff2tog

Row 2. turn, ch1 and make a dc turning chain in the first stitch *Make a puff into the centre of the puff2tog,

then ch4, then make a 2nd puff in the same place as the last one* repeat between *and* dc in the last stitch, changing to Colour A in the last 2 loops – 28 puffs

Row 3. Turn, ch1, and make a dc turning chain in the first stitch. Make a  dc between the last dc of the row below and the puff *make 3 dc in the chain space, then make a dc between the 2 puffs* repeat between *and* dc in the last stitch, changing to Colour I in the last 2 loops
