It’s week 10 of the Country Garden crochet along. This week we’re making our next panel made with the Front and Back facing Popcorn stitches to create the look of a bed of marigolds
If you would like the ad free printable version, it is available either as part of my Lifetime Pattern Pass, or you can purchase it on its own for just £5 from Ravelry
This pattern is written in US terms, but the UK translation are:
- ch (Chain)
- dc (Double crochet) = Treble crochet
If you would like to follow my colour scheme in either Paintbox Cotton Aran or Caron Simply Soft, you can find my colours here

The way this panel is made leaves a lot of ends, and the joining into chains can be tricky. I’d advise leaving a generous tail so that nothing comes undone as you work.
You need to cut off after every Colour change, except for the place indicated in row 1.

Now you just need to weave in all those ends (sorry 😬)
When weaving in, make sure each tail is pulled nice and taught so you get a smooth join, especially where you joined into the chain.
You will still see some of the yellow underneath the orange stitches, that’s normal
