Week 2 Of The Country Garden Crochet Along

This pattern is written in US terms, but the UK translation are:

  • YO (yarn over)
  • sc (single crochet) = Double Crochet
  • hdc (half double crochet) = Half treble crochet
  • dc (double crochet) = treble crochet
  • tr (treble crochet) = Double treble crochet

This week we will be using 3 different shades of green. Colours A, B and C in the colour chart

The Pattern

Carrying on from where we left off last week

Row 13. Turn, and join colour A into the 1st stitch. This row is worked in the back loop only. Make a double turning chain in the first stitch. In the next stitch make 2 dc, in each of the next 5 stitches make a dc. *Over the next 3 stitches (these should be the 3sc in the row below) make a dc3tog.

YO, insert your hook into the 1st stitch. YO and pull up a loop, YO and pull through 2 loops. You will have 2 loops on your hook. repeat for the next stitch, you will then have 3 loops on your hook. repeat in the 3rd stitch so you have 4 loops on your hook.

YO and pull through all 4 loops

Pull through all 4 loops

In each of the next 5 stitches make a dc. In the next stitch (the middle tr in the row below) make 3dc.

In each of the next 5 stitches make a dc* repeat between *and* until you have 2 stitches left.

In the next stitch make 2dc, and dc on the final stitch.

Row 14. Turn and chain 1. This row is worked in both loops. Make a double turning chain in the first stitch. In the next stitch make 2 dc, in each of the next 5 stitches make a dc. *Over the next 3 stitches make a dc3tog. In each of the next 5 stitches make a dc. In the next stitch make 3dc. In each of the next 5 stitches make a dc* repeat between *and* until you have 2 stitches left.

In the next stitch make 2dc, and dc on the final stitch. In the last stitch change to Colour B

Rows 15 and 16. Repeat row 14. In the last stitch of Row 16, change to Colour C

Rows 17 and 18. Repeat row 14.

Now we need to make 2 more Daisies. Use the same pattern we used last week. 

Weave in your ends and we’re done for this week
