Week Thirteen Of The Country Garden Crochet Along

Week 13 Of The Country Garden Crochet Along

It’s week 13 of the Country Garden crochet along. This week we are adding rounds of the Seed Stitch to our panel to create a path

If you would like the ad free printable version, it is available either as part of my Lifetime Pattern Pass, or you can purchase it on its own for just £5 from Ravelry

This pattern is written in US terms, but the UK translation are:

  • sc (single crochet) = Double crochet
  • dc (double crochet) = treble crochet

If you would like to follow my colour scheme in either Paintbox Cotton Aran or Caron Simply Soft, you can find my colours here

Round 1. With Colour F join into the 3rd loop of any stitch from the last round of last week. Ch 1, and make a sc in the same stitch. *in the next stitch make a dc, then sc in the next stitch* repeat between *and* until you reach the corner stitches.

In the 2nd corner stitch, make the next stitch in the Repeat then make the next stitch of the repeat in the same stitch – so if your first stitch is a dc, also make a sc in the same stitch or vice versa.

In the next stitch after your corner, make the same stitch as the 2nd stitch in your corner – so if your 2nd stitch was a sc, make a sc in the next stitch as well.

Working into the 3rd loop only

Carry on with the repeat between *and*

When you get back to the beginning of the round, slst into the starting sc.

Round 2. Working into both loops, chain 1 and make a dc chain in the same stitch you slst into. *In the next stitch make a sc, then dc in the next stitch*

Repeat between *and*

You should be making all your dc into the sc of the round below and all of your sc into the dc of the round below.

When you get to the corners, carry on with the pattern but make sure you have 2 stitches in your 2nd corner stitch

Finish the round by slst into your first dc.

Round 3.  Working into both loops, ch 1 and make a sc in the same stitch.

Carry on with the repeat between *and*. When you get back to the beginning of the round, slst into the starting sc.

Round 4. Repeat round 2

Round 5. Repeat round 3

At the end of this round you should have 89 stitches down each long side and 78 stitches on each short side making 334 stitches in total

Cut off and weave in your ends.
